Meridian History

Meridian began operations in 2000 and provides respiratory care services nationally. It was founded on a commitment to excellence and teamwork. The company's mission is to improve the health-related quality of life for patients with chronic lung disease. Meridian™ strives to have each patient achieve and maintain their optimal level of physical health through active participation in Meridian's clinical programs.

Growth and demand for Meridian's services are the result of: (I) program quality and diverse product lines; (ii) rapid growth of the elderly population; (iii) increasing incidence of pulmonary disease; (iv) improved medical technology and (v) growing sophistication of purchasers and providers of healthcare services in seeking alternatives to traditional medical care.

Patient Benefits

Pulmonary rehabilitation is a program of education and exercise that helps patients manage their breathing. Participating in a pulmonary rehabilitation program can help decrease your shortness of breath and increase your strength and stamina. The amount of time you exercise will be adjusted according to your individualized plan of care. The education sessions will let you control your breathing instead of your breathing limiting your activities. You will learn about your medications and how to get the most benefit from them.
