Opens Jamestown Pulmonary Center

September 20, 2008) Meridian Healthcare Group, Inc. ("Meridian") has entered
into an agreement to develop and operate a pulmonary rehabilitation clinic
in Jamestown, Tennessee. The city of Jamestown is located in Fentress County
on the Cumberland Plateau in Middle Tennessee.
The pulmonary rehabilitation clinic is being developed with Jamestown
Regional Medical Center, an 85 bed acute care hospital. The hospital is
operated by Health Management Associates, Inc. (“HMA”) which owns and
operates 57 general acute care hospitals in 15 states with 8,097 licensed
beds. The rehabilitation clinic is scheduled to commence operations in
October 2008.
Jamestown Regional Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and
has been named one of the Top 100 Hospitals in the Nation six times. “As the
years have passed, we have expanded our services to meet the growing demands
of our community and are pleased to add Meridian’s pulmonary rehabilitation
program to our clinical services,” said John R. Lee Jamestown CEO.
