• Meridian Expands
Sumner Regional Medical Contract

January 09, 2008) Meridian Healthcare Group, Inc. ("Meridian") has entered
into an agreement to extend its management of the cardiopulmonary services
at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Kansas. Wellington the
Sumner county seat is located in southern Kansas.
“Meridian has provided cardiopulmonary services to Sumner Regional Medical
Center since 1990. “We are pleased that the hospital’s Board of Directors
elected to continue to work with Meridian to the meet the community’s
medical needs for respiratory care, “said Tom R. Futch, Meridian President &
CEO. Last year Meridian and Sumner Regional Medical Center expanded their
partnership by the development of an outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation
clinic that provides therapy services to patients afflicted with chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease. Meridian also distributes oxygen and medical
equipment to homebound residents of Sumner county through its homecare
subsidiary Golden Care.
